YouChoose.net is a community of passionate individuals who create and participate in Campaigns that empower them to accomplish common goals.  YouChoose believes that people, together, with knowledge, have power. And that goals can be accomplished, every day, especially with the support of others.

The new YouChoose Distributed Forum is a simple widget that replaces the ‘comment’ section at the bottom of most blog posts and news articles, and on people’s social network personal pages. Comments entered in the widget appear immediately on all websites that are hosting the widget. This creates a shared global conversation across a distributed social network, enhancing community and activity on each host site.

With a thriving online community around activism already established, YouChoose wouldn’t seem a likely candidate to shake up the commenting landscape. But that’s precisely what the Distributed Forum widget does. Bringing much-needed critical mass to commenting, this aggregation of all comments into one issue-specific widget grants new power to the smallest of Web sites. Joe Schmo sharing and participating in the same discussions as ABC News — that’s true citizen journalism.
